Alsace AOC Riesling Grand Cru Jean-Baptiste Adam 2011

Alsace AOC Riesling Grand Cru Jean-Baptiste Adam 2011

Many wine experts consider Riesling from Alsace to be one of the greatest of all white wines! We surely agree when drinking this one.Very aromatic, fresh and dry, its pale robe expresses grapefruit, lime, pineapple, and apple, along with a nice touch of acidity providing much vivacity. As it ages, it will develop honey and quince aromas. Depending on the soil structure on which it grows, it can develop mineral aromas (silex), or orange flavors, and will gain much complexity when cellared.

Riesling is a great match for salads, traditional Alsace dishes like sausages and Choucroute. Perfect with all type of fish and seafood. It also goes well with cheese fondue. Try it also with Japanese food like sashimi.

Domaine Jean-Baptiste Adam, one of the best producer of Alsace wines, stands out as a true landmark in the long history of Alsace winemaking. Each bottle of Jean Baptiste Adam reflects 400 years of expertise and 14 generation of improvements: The Romans planted vines for the first time in the region. During the middle Ages, Alsace wines were already very famous and were widely exported towards northern Europe on the Rhine River. Wines have been produced since 1614 on the current Domaine Jean-Baptiste Adam.
