Cotes du Jura AOC Chateau d'Arlay Rouge
Château d'Arlay Rouge wine has been the main production of the Domain for five centuries, and without any doubt, one of the most elegant Reds in Jura. Château d'Arlay Rouge is made of Pinot Noir. Aromas of red fruit jam and green pepper, a fresh taste of wild berries with soft tannins. Food pairing: Perfect with roasts, red meat or chicken, match well with grilled fish, green vegetables, pasta. With cheese for example fresh goat cheese or blue cheese. Serving temperature: around 17°C.
Located in the AOC Côtes du Jura region, the domain of Chateau d'Arlay was established as early as the High Medieval Period, by the Counts of Chalon-Arlay, Princes of Orange, at the foot of their powerful fortress. Later on, it became the Royal Vineyard of England, then of Spain and finally of France. Some authors have claimed that Arlay was the oldest Chateau vineyard in France. For centuries, it has been producing wines of kings and kings of wines. Those wines are indeed very special.
